Terms of Service for Finchley Financial Mentoring

Effective Date: 17th May 2024

1

Welcome to Our Terms

These terms explain how things work when you use Finchley Financial Mentoring. When you book a session or use our website, you're agreeing to these rules. They're here to make sure we both know where we stand, and what to expect from our individual mentoring programme. We've tried to keep them in plain English, so they're easy to understand for everyone. We believe in clear communication, and that starts with setting out the framework for our time together. If anything isn't clear, please just ask us.

2

What We Do (and Don't Do)

Finchley Financial Mentoring provides one-on-one education and practical guidance on UK investments, specifically stocks, shares, and property. We help you understand risks and work with you to build a solid financial plan for yourself. This is mentoring, not regulated financial advice. We won't tell you what specific shares to buy or sell, or manage your money for you. Our goal is to give you the knowledge and confidence to make your own informed decisions. We're here to empower you with understanding, not dictate your choices.

3

Your Part in This

When you work with us, we expect a few things from you. Please provide honest and accurate information about your financial situation and goals. This helps us give you the most relevant and practical guidance possible. It's also your job to turn up for your booked sessions on time. Most importantly, remember that any investment decisions you make are ultimately yours. We give you tools and knowledge; you use them wisely. We're partners in your learning, but you hold the reins.

4

About Investment Outcomes

Investing always carries risks. The value of your investments can go up, and it can go down, sometimes quickly. We can't promise you any specific returns or guarantee that you'll make money. Our mentoring is about teaching you how to understand and manage these risks yourself. We provide guidance based on our experience and market knowledge, but past performance isn't a reliable guide to future results. Please only invest money you can comfortably afford to lose, as there are no certainties.

5

Payments & Changing Your Mind

Our fees for mentoring sessions and packages are clearly laid out on our 'What We Do' page. You'll need to pay for your sessions in advance, as agreed when you book. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. If you cancel with less notice than this, we might still charge for the session. If we, Finchley Financial Mentoring, have to cancel, we'll do our best to reschedule at a time that works for you, or offer a full refund for that specific session. We try to be fair and flexible for everyone.

6

Our Materials & Your Use of Them

During our mentoring sessions, we might share documents, templates, worksheets, or other educational materials with you. These resources are specifically for your personal use only. They are designed to help you understand and apply the financial principles we discuss together. These materials remain the intellectual property of Finchley Financial Mentoring. Please don't copy, share, reproduce, or use them for any commercial purposes without getting our express written permission first. It's all about respecting the effort put into creating these useful learning tools just for you.

7

Our Responsibility (and Yours)

While we offer our best guidance and support, Finchley Financial Mentoring, and its team members, can't be held responsible for any direct or indirect losses you might experience from your investment decisions. This includes any loss of profits or damages that come from relying on our mentoring. We work hard to give you accurate and practical information, but market conditions change, and individual circumstances vary. We aren't liable for things outside our reasonable control. Your financial decisions are your own, and you take full responsibility for them.

8

Updates to These Rules

Sometimes we might need to update these Terms of Service. This could be due to changes in how we operate, new legal requirements, or just to make things clearer for our clients. If we make any big changes, we'll aim to let you know, perhaps by email or by posting a notice on our website. The most current version will always be available here. We recommend checking back now and then to keep up to date. Your continued use of our services after any updates means you're happy with the latest version.

9

Which Laws Apply

These Terms of Service, and any disputes or claims that come from them, will be governed by and understood according to the laws of England and Wales. If there's ever a disagreement that we can't sort out between ourselves, the courts in England and Wales will have the final say. We hope it never comes to that, as we pride ourselves on being clear and fair, but it's important to be clear about the legal bit for everyone's peace of mind.
